Naturify — Immersive Nature Capsule Service
An immersive service design project that brings nature experiences into urban life through interactive capsules, combining UX, service design, and emerging technologies.
Year :
2025
Industry :
Technology
Client :
Sapienza University
Project Duration :
4 Months

Problem & Vision :

Reconnecting Urban Life with Nature

Urban lifestyles, time constraints, and limited access to natural environments prevent many people from experiencing the mental and emotional benefits of nature. This project explores how immersive, capsule-based services can bring nature closer to people by simulating natural environments directly within urban spaces. The goal was to design an accessible, calming, and meaningful nature experience without requiring travel.

Research & User Understanding :

User-Centered Research & Insights
The design process began with qualitative research, interviews, and questionnaires to understand people’s relationship with nature and the barriers preventing regular engagement. Through personas, empathy mapping, and user journey analysis, we identified key challenges such as lack of time, accessibility, and urban stress. These insights shaped the service vision and informed every design decision.

Service Design & System Thinking :

From Experience to Service Ecosystem
The project was developed as a complete service ecosystem rather than a standalone product. Tools such as ecosystem mapping, service blueprint, and business model canvas were used to define touchpoints, stakeholders, backstage processes, and long-term feasibility. This systemic approach ensured that the experience was scalable, sustainable, and viable in real urban contexts.

Interaction & Interface Design :

Designing the User Interaction
I contributed to the interaction and interface design of the service touchpoints, including the reservation and ticketing interface for the capsule system. The UI was designed to be intuitive, calming, and aligned with the immersive nature experience. Visual hierarchy, accessibility, and emotional comfort were key considerations throughout the interface design process.
