AvoDaroo — Medication Reminder App
End-to-end UX/UI design for a medication reminder app, developed collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Year :
2024
Industry :
Medicine
Client :
Rahnema College
Project Duration :
6 Months

Problem & Research :

AvoDaroo is a mobile app designed to help users remember and manage their daily medication intake. The project started with user research, including questionnaires, interviews, affinity mapping, and persona creation, focusing on people who forget medication due to age or busy lifestyles.

UX Strategy & Interaction :
Based on usability testing, we designed a clear, time-centered interaction model with a large central clock and full-screen notifications to prevent missed doses. A friendly avocado mascot visually reflected medication adherence, changing state based on user behavior to reinforce awareness and emotional feedback.

UI Design & Personalization :
We designed a lightweight design system and a fully customizable medication setup flow, allowing users to define dosage type, schedule, repetition, and visual preferences. The UI supported personalization through colors, icons, and forms to improve clarity and user engagement.

Collaboration & Outcome :
The project was developed collaboratively by a four-person UX/UI design team as part of an intensive design program at Rahnema College, with continuous mentor feedback, prototyping, usability testing, and iteration. The final concept was well-received for its clarity, usability, and human-centered approach.
